Christy Roman began as the District’s Executive Director in March 2006. Christy has a Bachelors of Arts in Outdoor Education from Olivet College. Christy coordinates District events, plans for long term goals, and offers administrative support to the District staff. |

Mike Meriwether, Forester mikeme40@aol.com
Mike Meriwether has worked for the Antrim Conservation District for the past 20 years. He is actively involved in forest management, timber harvesting, wildlife food plots, and resource management of the lands. Mike issues wood cutting permits for county lands and works with landowners to negotiate surface damages from gas exploration activities in the county. Mike Meriwether works to fulfill forest management objectives by providing technical assistance to non-industrial, private forest landowners. He provides management plans and assists residents with all tree health needs. |

Heidi Shaffer, Soil Erosion Officer heidishaffer3@yahoo.com
Heidi Shaffer has been Soil Erosion 0fficer for Antrim County since July, 2001. Her primary responsibility is issuing soil erosion permits for earthwork within 500’ of a surface water body. The district has contracted with Antrim County for the past 15 years to enforce and educate residents about the Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Act 451, Part 91. |

Lindsay Banwell, Conservation Technician lookimirish@hotmail.com
Lindsay Banwell has been at the Antrim Conservation District for one year. Lindsay as
well as other District employees, works with individual groups and local
governments to restore public access sites and eroding
stream banks. She aids Townships on ordinance
information, presents at local schools about water
conservation and installs Best Management Practices throughout Antrim County. |

Gloria Campbell, Bookkeeper
Gloria has been with the Conservation District since July 2007. She maintains the District bookkeeping system and works closely with Christy to ensure the District complies with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as MDA rules and regulations for Conservation Districts. Gloria received her Associate’s Degree in 1997 from Northwestern Michigan College and taught Accounting for 3 years at the Traverse Bay Area Career Tech Center in the Accounting & Office Technology classroom as a Paraprofessional.. |

Ron Oyer, Technician
Ron Oyer, seasonal
employee, oversees and maintains many of Antrim County's
trails as well as supervises and partakes in many Best Management Practices. Ron maintains the district
office building and helps
with the household hazardous waste program. |
